FLUTE STUDIO AT MIAMI UNIVERSITY
Dr. Kane currently serves as Adjunct Professor of Flute at Miami University in Oxford, OH. Miami University offers degrees in Music Performance and Music Education at the undergraduate and graduate levels. A Bachelor of Arts degree with a flute focus is also offered. Flutists at Miami receive weekly private lessons with Dr. Kane or Professor Rebecca Andres. Students attend a weekly studio class and perform in large and small ensembles at MU. There are many performance opportunities throughout the year, including studio recitals and flute choir performances.
INTERESTED IN JOINING THE MU FLUTE STudio?
Prospective students are encouraged to visit Miami University prior to auditioning. Students can tour the campus, visit music classes, watch rehearsals, and meet current students and faculty. Flute studio class meets on Tuesdays, and flutists visiting campus are welcome to attend. Prospective students visiting Miami are also offered a lesson with either Dr. Kane or Professor Andres.
